What to expect
Forno was — literally — the village bread oven, where bread was baked for all the inhabitants. Today it is set on the first floor of the oldest building (15th century) and has a feature that makes it special: from the bedroom window, every evening, the sun sets exactly behind the profile of Monte Cetona in Tuscany.
Layout
45 m² on the first floor: one double bedroom (cot available), living room with fireplace and sofa bed (capacity 2+2), fitted kitchen, shower bathroom. Walls sponge-painted in ochre and green, wooden ceilings.
Outside, a private area with table and wrought-iron pergola.
The sunset
From mid-April to late September, the sunset over the Umbrian-Tuscan countryside is a spectacle worth the room itself. Privileged view from the bedroom and living-room windows.
Best for
Couples with one small child. Four people with sofa bed. Anyone who has dinner at eight and then wants to watch the sky.
