What to expect

Volte was the stable that housed the oxen working the fields. The restoration preserved the magnificent vaulted brick ceiling with its central supporting column — an architectural detail you won’t find in the other houses. When you look up, you understand you’re inside a building made to last.

Layout

68 m² on the ground floor: one double bedroom, one bedroom with two single wrought-iron beds worked by hand, large living room with two sofas and dining table, fully equipped kitchen. Capacity 4+2 with sofa bed. Walls sponge-painted in light ochre, original vaulted ceilings.

Outside

At the entrance, a large wrought-iron pergola covered in wisteria, with views over the countryside and the Cetona mountains in Tuscany. One of the most photographed spots in the hamlet at dusk.

Best for

Families with two children, groups of friends (4+2), or anyone who loves authentic historic spaces. The room with the wrought-iron beds is especially loved by children: it feels like a fairy-tale chamber.
